Bluegrass Review Nov 18-Nov 24, 2017 #1747

Bluegrass songs frequently depict people on the bottoms of things, so we open with a couple of songs that mention just that. On the Gem of Bluegrass, we reflect on something singer David Peterson mentioned during an interview a few years ago, that bluegrass songs reflect worlds that are lost, and cannot be recovered. We play a couple of convincing bluegrass treatments of blues songs by FY5 and Balsam Range. Finally, we explore the connections between bluegrass songs, cars and roadways.
