Bluegrass Review Nov 4- Nov 10, 2017 (second hour) #1645

After an HDS (hard-driving song) to open the show, we play three examples of the Unfortunate Rake song cycle, where, before death, the protagonist laments a life of too much fun. The Gem of Bluegrass recounts some of the highlights of the connections between late electric guitar player Les Paul, and bluegrass. Later, we talk to Gretchen Priest-May and Tim May about their musical inspirations, and how they fashion n their inspirations into finished musical products.
