Bluegrass Review Oct 21, 2017-Oct 27, 2017 (second hour) #1643

Old songs about driving trucks frequently center on the power of trucks and the long drives. More recent ones also focus on the relationships connected to truck driving. We play a couple of recent ones. The Gem of Bluegrass depicts the many moods expressed in songs by the bluegrass founder, Bill Monroe. Later, we present our second interview with Orville Johnson, the dobro guitarist from Seattle, WA. Orville plays some of his dobro adaptations of songs not usually thought of as bluegrass songs.
