Bluegrass Review June 24, 2017-June 30, 2017 (second hour) #1626

Interesting new bluegrass on today’s show, including the show’s opening track by Sister Sadie. But later, we go old-school with something by bluegrass vets Frank Wakefield and Leon Morris. We play a couple of songs that celebrate gardens and gardening. On the Gem of Bluegrass, we discuss the canon about the bluegrass instruments. There are only five. Or six if you include the dobro. Later, we talk to Los Angeles Old-Time fiddler David Bragger. He talks about his tunes and the fiddlers he learned them from, and plays some great examples for us.
