Bluegrass Review June 3, 2017-June 9, 2017 #1723

Bluegrass songwriters have long thought and wrote about old family homes. But it is fare from a complete nostalgia trip, as many of the songs lament the separation from family and sadness at finding that family eventually leaves home places and the places fall into disrepair. We play a set of these songs referencing these issues. The Gem of Bluegrass shines a light on an interesting type of songwriting, writing from the point of view of an object of type of experience. Later, we present three sets of songs that reflect bluegrass evolution.
