Bluegrass Review April 15, 2017-April 21, 2017 #1716

One was current bluegrass differs from first generation songs is that today, songwriters write about self-discovery. We play a couple of them. On the Gem of Bluegrass, we comment on what makes funny bluegrass songs funny. Later, we play songs representing bluegrass evolution. Two of them are reworkings of Bill Monroe songs, and one is a jazz piece turned into bluegrass.
