Bluegrass Review April 8, 2017-April 14, 2017 (second hour) #1615

Songs about guns. We play three at the start of the show. The first is told from the point of view of a bullet. Then we play a hard-hitting song from Laurie Lewis from a few years ago about the normally happy-go-lucky bus driver who gets on his mean after his bus is robbed. He gets a gun. The Gem of Bluegrass has to do with tragedy songs and the Carter Family. After the Gem, we play some recent treatments of Carter Family songs, including some surprising ones.
