Bluegrass Review April 1, 2017-April 7, 2017 #1714

Early on the show we play a couple of songs whose subject matter is coal, one of the compelling bluegrass stories in the history of the genre. The Gem of Bluegrass focuses on how the tune “New Camptown Races” has evolved. After the Gem we play a recent take, a masterful harmonica version by David Naiditch. Later on the show we play a group on road songs, many of them unusual.
