Bluegrass Review April 16-22, 2011 (#1116)

The show opens with some new bluegrass by Larry Cordle about breaking the law, and that’s all the reason we needed to continue the theme with a classic of classics on the subject. The Gem of Bluegrass relates to the enduring bluegrass symbol of rustic cabins, and how the image has evolved. Then some songs about a different hind of “home” which is what people call a honky tonk if they think you spend too much time there. Later, a conversation with Dan Miller of Flatpicking Guitar magazine. Dan picks out great examples of twin guitar music.
